Province of Limburg (B)
Overview
Limbourg: a strategic situation, strong connectivity
The E313 and E314 motorways, the Albert Canal and rail links connect Limburg to major economic centers and European ports. The province continues its investments in multimodal infrastructure and the development of logistics activities, particularly on the former Ford site in Genk.
Furthermore, Limburg is developing an innovative knowledge economy, with six strategic campuses that are important drivers of economic development. Campuses such as Corda Campus, Health Campus Limburg DC and Thor Park bring together companies, research institutions and public authorities, and stimulate research, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Limbourg is also nurturing new ambitions in the field of Big Science. With the Big Science Hub, the province aims to strengthen the links between companies and international research infrastructures. This initiative offers Limburg companies opportunities to participate in international research projects, develop new technologies, and access new markets.
It is POM Limburg that, as the body responsible for guiding the economic development of the province, brings together businesses, research institutions and the public authorities in order to strengthen the Limburg economy. Within the Euregio Meuse-Rhine as well, Limburg relies on cross-border cooperation in the fields of innovation and economic development.
In addition to its economic advantages, Limburg offers an attractive living environment characterized by vast natural spaces, a rich cultural heritage, and a diverse tourist offer.
